5 reasons to go on a Scotland hen weekend

  • Beautiful landscapes and breathtaking scenery: Scotland's known for its stunning landscapes, including rolling hills, lochs (lakes), and rugged coastlines. A hen weekend in Scotland is the perfect opportunity to experience the country's natural beauty and take in the sights around Scotland.
  • Unique cultural experiences: Scotland has a rich history and unique culture, with a strong tradition of music, dance, and storytelling. A hen weekend in Scotland is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture and try new things, such as participating in Highland games or visiting a whisky distillery.
  • Delicious food and drink: Scotland is famous for its whisky, but the country also has a thriving food scene. From hearty stews and fresh seafood to locally-sourced meats and artisan cheeses, there is something for everyone to enjoy whether you're eating out or firing up the barbecue.

Scotland hen do destinations

There are many great locations in Scotland for a hen do. You could head to the capital for a hen party in Edinburgh or to Scotland's largest city for a Glasgow hen party. Both offer shopping, dining, and nightlife.

For a more rugged and outdoorsy hen do, consider visiting the Scottish Highlands. This region is known for its breathtaking scenery, including lochs (lakes), mountains, and forests. We may be a little biased being based in the Highlands, but the Cairngorms are simply breathtaking, and you'll be spoilt for choice with things to do.

Located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness is a great destination for a hen do with an outdoor focus. Inverness is surrounded by stunning natural beauty and is a great base for exploring the Highlands. There are also many cultural attractions to enjoy, such as the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, and there's a good choice of nightlife.

Aviemore (just 20 minutes from Cairngorms Activities) is also a great destination for a hen weekend. With plenty to do and many lovely bars and restaurants nearby, it has everything you need in one beautiful location and can make the perfect hen party. It's also just 30 miles from Inverness, so you can combine these two fantastic locations during your weekend.

  • Cultural experiences: Scotland has a rich history and culture, and there are many ways to immerse yourself in it during a hen do. Consider visiting a castle or estate, attending a traditional music or dance performance, or trying your hand at a craft like knitting or pottery.
  • Spa day: Relax and unwind with a spa day during your hen do. Many hotels and resorts in Scotland offer spa facilities, including massages, facials, and other treatments. If you’re staying near us in Aviemore, take a look at The Cairngorms Spa.
